Chardy was needed so off to the shops I went. I spotted this on the shelf and it got the nod purely based on the fact I had a look at its little brother a couple of weeks ago which I thoroughly enjoyed.
More of a traditional style of Chardonnay, it's almost two toned in some respects - fruit then the oak washes through. Grilled peaches with a drizzle of lemon juice. Toasty oak is in a neat groove but I'd like it to be meshed with the fruit a little better. A dash of spice lingers; nice touch.
In all, an tasty drop but I still have the Blue Label 2014 a notch above it.
