A Shiraz and Cabernet blend, the two parcels were co-fermented. Time in the glass helped this kick back and relax.
Scents of black and dark fruits, earth, leafy Cabernet, roasted peppers and a little tar. There's a depth to the fruit but it fades all too quickly leaving a plump like tannin to bust a move. Focus seems to be the main thing missing here for me as it just doesn't have that defining shape or feel I was hoping for. A wine for pie night perhaps but an expensive one at that. I couldn't have more than a glass.
87/100 - Good.
