Give this a quick decant to help it find its feet. Initially it was a bit muddled up but time in the glass helped it relax.
Dark plums and berries, baked raspberries, dark chocolate all come to the party here in this fruit driven wine. Some wood spice and a dusting of black pepper. The depth seen early takes the foot off the pedal fractionally in the mid palate. Enough to be noticed but not enough to detract.
Drink now to five years.
