A slight variance on the blend percentages to previous years, this Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre blend presents itself with 67/28/5 this time in. It's a damn good drink too.
An ever so slight mint aroma on nose, dark berry fruit sits at the heart. Cured meats are neatly poised in the background. Some fruit sweetness is apparent with a warming spice rub and raspberry fruit. In the mouth it's drying, sapping and puckering and highly geared for steak country. There's a dusty/chalky grip to round it out - carnivores will be smiling.
Will cellar long term.
