TarraWarra Roussanne Marsanne Viognier 2015
The back label says the fruit comes from just seven rows of vines.
The sum of the parts has changed for this 2015 too. Normally Marsanne is the leader of the pack but this time Roussanne takes charge.
Smells of ginger jubes, honeysuckle, lemon pith, lemon butter and apricot skin. There's a creaminess in the mouth and some stonefruit characters glide through with ease. Textural feels fattening the mid palate too. Linear in part with subdued acidity, the fruit seems to hit and stick - I'm a big fan. That shimmer of ginger spice calmly reappears on exit leading to a long finish.
A wine which is hard to put down admittedly, I'd be happy sipping away at this all night.
Drink now to five years.
