A whiff and a taste and my interest has been piqued.
There's plenty going on here to please - generous fruit aromas and chalky feels in the mouth.
Apricot aromas take hold from the get-go and you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a Viognier on first inspection. Kaffir lime leaf, yellow flesh nectarine get a piece of the action too.
Firmish acid frames the fruit which has good presence and depth. That chalky minerality is unmistakable with a dash of honeyed like spice to finish. Long to please, it's quite moreish.
A good drink - one I'd have a couple of glasses with ease.
Drink now to three years.
