You'd hope an Italian can make a decent Barbera, and as true as the day is long, here's another solid performance.
Char and crushed granite (not surprisingly) aromas waltz straight up. Tomato leaf and tomato paste follow. There's a slight whiff of cola too. Juicy red cherries and raspberries run riot in the mouth with crunchy acidity mopping up the tail. I'd happily drink a few glasses of this.
Drink now to five years.
