A wine demonstrating some personality but seems to want to remain quite reserved although gets the job done better than most.
I'm not screaming from the rooftops with this although I feel quite content sipping away at it.
A delicious cool climate style - red fruits, spice, smooth delivery. All that. Swirl the glass a few more times for pan juices and earthen traits gain some confidence to appear.
Smooth, supple, softly softly in approach. A serious wine without the frills but a big price tag.
Drink now to five years.
