Highland Heritage Patrono Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

This is one of two new flagship wines to celebrate 70 years of winemaking in the region.

A good drop of Cabernet here.

Charcoal, black olive, black currant and red capsicum. A wave of dark chocolate comes with a late rush. There's certainly a youthful exuberance to it but that will settle in time. Some exotic spices send down a good line and length delivery before cocoa like tannins swoop on a long finish.

Long term cellaring does appeal here.

I'd have a glass with a hearty meal on a chilly night.

Best from 2018 up to ten years.
