I lined up two Western Australian Cabernets (though this has a dash of Merlot) from 2015. Gee we are blessed with the quality available in this country for not much outlay. Hard to say no to this.
Lip smacking good, it's a 78/21/1 blend. The 1% being a drop of Malbec.
Smokey, some minerally drive, bay leaf and green herbs. Buckets of blackcurrant and blackberries fill the mouth complemented by judicious oak. The finish is warming but soft delivering great length.
Superb value. I reckon you could hunt this down for closer to $20 - a bargain!
Drink 2018 to eight years.
