Cabernet Franc is as rare as hens teeth in Mudgee. Only 1.2 hectares sit in the ground.
Quite a tasty wine presents itself here. Pizza sauce, tomato leaf, spearmint and red earth aromas get things on the move. Spicy in the mouth, dark fruit and tar push through in a ribbed like fashion. Dark chocolate kicks in late as do black olives. Brightish acidity still prominent with a dusty finish.
A wine that needs food beside it but softens the longer it sits in the glass.
Best drinking 2018 to 2026.
