Parker Coonawarra Estate Shiraz 2016

The fifth release of this solid Shiraz from the red Terra Rossa soils of Coonawarra. Often available in chain stores for under $20 makes this a good buy.

16 months spent in French oak, 10% of which was new.

Chocolate pudding and sweet berry fruit aromas are met with a touch of char. It's youthful yet inviting. A reliable friend to have on your table beside a steak or casserole dish, it's dense and mouth-filling. Spicy plums and sapping dryness are followed by cocoa tannins. Worth a shot I say for those seeking some inner comfort.

Drink now to five years.
