Geoff Merrill Cilento Sangiovese 2012

Named after Geoff Merrill's great grandfather Joseph Cilento who immigrated to Australia in the late 1800's. This sees 27 months in American oak. Gee it's a drinking well at the moment.

The fruit is humming. Handfuls of plums are etched with some clove and five spice characters. Earthy plus a little leathery add savoury appeal and dusty feels to close. Great buying for the asking price.

Drink now to five years.
