Turkey Flat Grenache 2018

The Turkey Flat Grenache 2016 won the coveted Jimmy Watson in 2017. Curiousity got the better of me when I purchased this 2018 release recently.

This is a generous Grenache. Raspberries and strawberries with some dark berry fruit too. A lick of fruit sweetness but I get some of those boiled lolly traits Grenache should avoid. The 15% alcohol is up there too and it is noticeable. Mind you, there is a moreishness and delectable spice that just shimmers and I find it hard to ignore. That ripe factor is the thing that has this back peddling in my opinion.
