A little leaner and dancier in the mouth than its Nitschke Road sibling yet it's a pretty and more aromatically expressive Ebenezer Shiraz.
Sourced from Adrian Hoffman's 70+ year old vineyard, cedar, mulberries and red plums skip about to entice you from the get-go. There is not as much drive-through the mid-palate as I would have expected - Ebenezer usually comes loaded with great depth. Seeing 50% new French oak for 20 months, the acid still has a bright side after three days of tasting. Brown spices shimmer. Long, there's some warmth here too but it's endearing in its own way. A Barossa Shiraz that will age nicely.
