Gee, I love the new label of the Coronamento with Robert Pizzini playing in the mountains of Trentino circa 1950. A polished Nebbiolo as you'd expect from the Pizzini's, this is an excellent wine.
It saw three years of bottle aging prior to release. Balsamic, dark and sour cherries open the account. Dark plums, orange peel and dark chocolate all add layers of interest with dried herbs scattered throughout. Pillows of powdery tannins reach far and wide. But it's the depth I love. It soothes and reaches out. Quite compelling in its presence, this will age as long as you want. Brilliant. Just brilliant!
