A Chardonnay with some meat on the bones, this is a clever expression of the variety from the north of Tasmania.
There is so much to sink your teeth into here. Get in the queue for concentrated peach, barbecued white-fleshed nectarines and licks of fig. Raw cashews emerge as does a hint of pie apple. Some pineapple and mandarin peel want to be seen early on too but is held back by sizzling lemon juice, vanilla cream and some flintiness. It's a wine that needs to be enjoyed with a slight chill to embrace its expressive personality. Drink it too cold and you'll mask its beauty. And for Chardonnay purists, you don't want to miss out on the interest factor of this impressive release.
