Arguably the best Nebbiolo producer in Australia, Luke Lambert has excelled once again with this 2019 release.
A slight label change sees a more family orientated focus with Lambert Wines now adorning the front of the bottle.
Absorbing as ever, the mouthfeel and those dangerously moreish powdery tannins seek your favour. Sour cherries, strawberry, apricot kernel and blackcurrants reach out early. The savoury presence is the highlight for me. Dried herbs, a flash of licorice, blood orange and mandarin peel keep the trail of curiosity real. A lick of woodsy spices drives long with some dried cherry never far from the action. An excellent wine once again.
