This is the type of Chardonnay you'd get the Chardy haters to spend some time with to commence their journey with this superb variety. Admittedly, there is not a lot going on aromatically but it gets to work in the mouth.
Old school lemonade and white-fleshed nectarines sit in the driver's seat. A nutty surge featuring slithered almonds and raw cashew texture adds pleasure. The citrusy focus keeps the tempo though. A little reductive, there is a Chablis-esque feel about its swagger, and I can't help but go back for another sip. And then there's that tang - yes! A big thumbs up from me.
Drink to five years.
