Who's up for a medium-bodied Shiraz dance party? A seriously great slurp of Hunter Valley Shiraz, this is a blend of a range of parcels that Andrew Thomas has access to and brings one big celebration to your mouth.
With no new oak in the Synergy, think blueberry tart, red cherries, red earth, cola and char. Give it some air and see dark chocolate tart emerge. A little meatiness crawls forward with time too. A wine with a respectable depth, it doesn't lose its medium body shape with that touch of grunt. The shimmer of fine spices roll on and on to a lengthy and moreish finish. Well played and great value for $25.
