Clean, fresh and pure. The 2023 Hunter Valley vintage is said to be better for reds but this is a very tidy expression of Semillon.
A clear step up from the Hunter's, there is a precision and focus evident here. A minerally and phenolic vibe is preceded by a chorus of aromatic pleasure. Think cut green apple, lemongrass, lime juice and white flowers. It's such a fabulous wine to enjoy now but its lean profile has me thinking this has a long life ahead in the cellar. Very smart.
