This interesting Fiano comes hot off the press from the Pikes Polish Hill River vineyard. The 13th release of this wine gains a wonderful momentum the longer I sit on it.
It opens with a curious mango and sweet lime jelly aroma that moves to lime curd and zest. A squeeze of lemon juice partners a core of pear and green apple fruit. A ribbon of creaminess flows with ease as a shimmer of cinnamon spice curls around the mouth on a moreish finish. A most pleasing and reliable expression of Fiano, this is good gear.
