Jansz Tasmania Cuvée 2021

An energetic glass of fizz, this Jansz Vintage 2021 is a very tidy sparkler.

It sits on lees for three years which adds to its complexity, but if only it went just a little deeper. Lemons, lemon curd and lemon meringue are the heroes with a creamy drive. Cashew nuts, sourdough bread and Portuguese tart add detail through the mid-palate, but it pulls up a touch short for mine. Baked lemons and lemon juice have the final say. The majority of punters wouldn't baulk at a glass or two. Oh to be picky.
