Silky brutality describes this Tenafeate Creek Montepulciano best. A generous wine that over-delivers on flavour and depth, yet there is an attractive elegance that is unmissable.
Blueberries, mulberries, red currants and dark plums are the order of the day. It's a wine with great shape as it moves about with ease ensuring every crevice is coated. It sees a combination of new and seasoned French oak for 12 months which has imparted a flicker of dark chocolate interest. Superfine brick dust tannins add to it moreish appeal. Best enjoyed with some slow-cooked protein, I'd happily have a glass or two.
