Tasted at the cellar during an extensive tasting, swirl the glass and orange peel, tar and licorice bullets rush to introduce themselves. These flow through to the palate where a subtle thread of spearmint tucks in and adds some freshness without disrupting the wine's structure. The tannins build a neat momentum but highlight its youth. It drinks with confidence but this come of age without doubt and I suspect the tannins will melt into the frame. Hold - patience will reward.
