Schwarz Wine Co Nitschke Block Shiraz 2021

A Barossa Shiraz with terrific presence and drive, the Schwarz Wine Co Nitschke Block was planted in 1968 in the Bethany sub-region, which is known for its clay soils.

Wild yeast fermented and made with a portion of whole bunches, the finished wine was not filtered prior to bottling.

Dense, rich and earthy with a boot polish trait clinging to the tail, handfuls of blackberries unfurl with licorice and dark chocolate playing a neat support role. The fruit is ripe and a hint of coconut suggests some American oak was employed. A wine that possesses good weight, but it's not overbearing, those who enjoy richer styles will be right at home here.
