Ox Hardy Grenache Cinsault Rosé 2025

The debut outing for this Ox Hardy Rosé sees Grenache sourced from new plantings at the Upper Tintara site, just a stone’s throw from the famed High Sands vineyard. What a positive first-up impression this has made.

Cinsault forms part of the blend and comes from vines planted in 1947.

A festive, lively drink that carries a little more intrigue than your average lunchtime pour. Cherries, white raspberries, red apple and pomegranate step forward with a lift of dried herbs adding savoury nuance. Watermelon husk lingers in the background, giving a sense of freshness and quiet restraint. There’s a fine texture and a subtle chew through the palate, the kind that builds a gentle moreishness. Crunchy acidity ties it all together, leading to a clean, crisp and quietly impressive finish. Lovely drinking and a mighty fine debut indeed.
