Aptitude Wines Contact Theory 2024

The first of its kind in the world (there is absolutely nothing wrong with building the drama), this Riesling and Cortese blend from Aptitude Wines is brimming with texture and verve; it demands attention.

Wicked aromas! I struggle to get past this stage of the tasting. So evocative and so enticing - think lemons, lemon zest, elderflower, Marigold flowers and meringue.

Vibrant lemons, peach skin and yellow fleshed nectarines consume the flavour profile with old school lemonade, pink grapefruit, not to mention a crushed quartz-like minerality. Pie apple swoops late and then my interest is piqued once more with the captivating textural presence. There is a green tea and Mediterranean tonic grip that just hangs and broadens the palate further. With a finish that strides out leaving plenty to consider, this is an excellent skin contact release for those who love adventure and finely tuned texture. Yes!
