A museum release in superb order. Oh, aged Riesling is a beautiful thing and this Contours 2018 from Pewsey Vale is divine.
Layered with interest and detail, marmalade and citrus blossom make the first impression. Still showing freshness beyond its years, there is a concentrated lime cordial thing going on here, too. Lanolin and toast wriggle their way forward with some honey tones giving off some Greek honey puff vibes. Dried thyme and sage add a savoury edge - yes! It's a wine with a fabulous texture and chalkiness that puts one foot in front of the other and invites you back for more. An excellent wine to recline with and consider, embrace this.
