I can only imagine sitting opposite Tim Smith while tasting this MGS blend. Smith breaks his gaze, winks his eye and says in his calm, composed tone, "It's not shit, is it?" You'd be a hard marker to disagree.
Delectably savoury, this is built for those nights when the rain taps on the roof for hours as you chew the fat with your love and solve the problems of the world. Delightful stuff, stopping at one glass seems futile.
This is the kind of wine I want to serve to my friends. It showcases plenty of fruit yet possesses an attractive savoury presence. That length and drive cap it off for the win. A melting pot of charred meats, earthiness, plums and dark berries, licks of chocolate ride out to a persistent finish. Dusty tannins have the last word and I just want more. It's quite the all-around offering, superb in terms of drinking appeal yet oozing consideration. Get this, it's excellent.
