Big and generous, this Gorge Block Cabernet Sauvignon from Chapel Hill is not for the faint-hearted.
Grown directly behind the winery, this was firm, tight and intense, even after three days of tasting. Dark berry fruit reigns supreme with blackberries, black currants and dark cherries leading the charge. Licorice, black olives and dark chocolate add some savoury nuances. Fine spices tighten a noose around the palate leaving a powdery and sustained finish to consider. This will continue to improve with extended bottle age and it will live easily for 15 years+
