I thoroughly enjoyed this Cabernet from Wynns. Over a few days of tasting, it settles into its groove, delivering maximum appeal and seduction.
Seeing 15 months in French oak (28% new), this Cabernet is defined by its precision and persistence.
Pan juices, cherries, blackberries, plums, orange peel and dried mint fold into one another with ease. That Terra Rossa soil whispers quietly in the background. With air, soft spices, choc mint, licorice and fennel work their way into the frame. Fine tannins cling to an elongated finish. In all, it's a superb expression of Coonawarra Cabernet that walks with a composed flow and humble authority.
