Huntington Estate Shiraz Cabernet 2024

Big, ripe and seriously mouthfilling. This Huntington Estate Shiraz Cabernet is built for the plate and may well need a knife and fork to cut through it.

Dark berries and plums come charging through, joined by dark choc-dipped cherries, cedar and star anise. There’s a lick of Coconut Rough adding a sweet, exotic edge, while the palate delivers plenty of heft at 15%. Drying, chewy tannins bring the muscle, with the finish sapping the palate and leaving a firm, persistent grip. On its own, it’s a big whack. But put a serious piece of protein in front of it and suddenly everything makes sense. This is a wine that will take down something meaty with ease.
