The last time I saw this Maggie White from John Wallace Wines was back in 2021. It was a blend back then of Vermentino, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Fast forward to the 2025 edition and it is now 100% Vermentino. Hello, sun-shining days!
Buoyant, vibrant and juicy through the mid-palate, this is alive with lemon juice, green apple skin and scents of white field flowers. A touch of lemon basil and sea spray sneaks into the frame before a lemon sherbet tang whips through the mid-palate and clings to a clean, crisp finish. Pitched for casual catch-ups, chill and splash it about generously.
