This is delicious and I could make very easy work of it. And, perhaps I did. Run to this Schwarz Wine Co Meta Shiraz.
Wild yeast fermented and a blend of four sites from around the Barossa, dark fruit drives the conversation from the outset, with vibrant and joyous layers of blackberries and plums rolling across the palate. What impressed was its flex and flow as it glides with purpose and confidence. Savoury notes of dark chocolate, rum 'n' raisin and cedar weave through the fruit with puffs of earth and a dusting of herbs. It's a wine that feels built for the table, but it would be equally at home at a casual gathering huddled around the barbecue. A thoroughly enjoyable Shiraz that delivers plenty of pleasure, it's an enthusiastic recommendation from me.
