A very attractive medium bodied blend in many respects. There's plenty of fruit, it's nicely balanced, and there's already four years age on it.
Pencil shavings, bay leaf, savoury herbs, BBQ char and some mintiness join juicy black fruits, dark cherry and capsicum which cling on for a long ride. Oak compliments this well finishing fine and a little drying.
An ideal match for a lamb and will easily cellar for the medium term.
It's hard not to keep going back for more. A big tick.
