This label comes about as a play thing for one of the Fine Wine Partner execs who I'm told now resides in Sydney. The fruit was Granite Belt sourced and contract made by a small winery in Ballandean.
Ripe lemon zest and juice, coconut husk, whipped butter and fleshy nectarine. Yellow stone fruit dominate the flavour profile. A lick of jersey caramel, melted butter and lemon tang wrap it up. A subtle warmth hangs with the acid sitting on the tight side leading to a long finish.
It's a good drink and one I'd have a glass of with ease. The pricing is about right per bottle, though I saw it on pour at a bar - the $70 asking price for the bottle was a bit steep.
Drink now to three years.
