Golden Grove Estate Sparkling Vermentino 2016
This is the first Sparkling Vermentino release from Golden Grove Estate. There's not many of these in the market place - the only other
I've had was from Barossa Valley's Yelland & Papps.
Wild yeast fermented, 30% went two year old French oak and sat on lees for four months.
Cut pear, jasmine flowers but not overly aromatic. Fleshy weight through the mid palate met with a drop of lemon juice, crisp acidity frames the textural mouth feel. Sappy dryness to finish which draws saliva from the mouth.
Would I buy it? I'd have a glass. A fair debut ready for aperitif town.
