I was scratching my head a bit with this fizz. A 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, its appearance is not what you'd expect.
Mandarin juice like in colour, that mandarin theme continues with aromas of peel and what seems to be cola - the addition of cognac on dosage at play here I suspect.
Nutty to finish, it doesn't possess the biscuity and brioche type characters you may look for with a fizz. That said, it's still creamy through the middle and fruit still plays its hand with good weight. Super long to finish, there's plenty of good refreshment here.
Strange, different. Worth a look.
Drink now.
