Riesling is said to be the flagship wine at St Anne's. From little known Pentland Hills, 56km west of Melbourne, this release nails the brief.
A focused wine that sizzles with limes leading the charge and tart green apples sliding in underneath. Soft citrus blossom aromas add interest before a tight delivery is driven by a backbone of riverstone minerality. A powdery finish adds further polish.
Drink now to embrace the freshness but it certainly has aging characteristics if you are that way inclined.
