Heathcote is best known for its Shiraz rather than Riesling but greetings to this release from Tellurian.
Dry with a minerally drive, it's not the fresh lemon and lime delight you'd expect to see from a Riesling. For a 2020, it seems more developed than expected with honeyed tones and a lemon profile moving towards the preserved side of the ledger. This is the second release off a certified organic vineyard, minerally feels push through before a slippery and powdery textural feel that can be best described as fury peach skin. A wine that needs food by its side.
