Flinders Run Baroota Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

FLINDERS-RUN-Bartoota-Creek-Cabernet-Sauvignon-2021

As with the Cabernet Shiraz from Flinders Run, this Cabernet is ripe and generous. Loaded with blackberry pie, blackberry jubes and blackcurrants, it handles its 15.1% alcohol a little better.
There is more detail and interest here compared to its stable mate. A touch of mint, dried herbs, dark chocolate and cedar unfurl with time in the glass. The oak is overt mind you and will settle with some time in a dark place, and this was proven over a couple of days of tasting. An unmissable tension points to its ability to age as fine spices cling to a long finish. Decant to see it at its best, but overall, it's good gear.

Drink to eight years.
