Dense and dark in the glass, it opens with char, cured meats and biltong aromas before blackberries and mulberries flood the palate. There’s an unmistakable ironstone minerality that speaks loudly of the earth from which it was born, while dark chocolate and coffee grounds add richness. Baking spices and woodsy spices weave through the fruit, bringing savoury complexity and adding to the layers of interest. It's a wine with bevelled edges, allowing smooth ribbons of flavour to flow effortlessly across the palate. Give it some time to breathe and it excels even further. What a beauty!
