Purple flowers get my attention early, but dig deeper and you see old boot leather and black fruit. It's another story when tipped in the mouth. Black fruit still prominent, but there's a warmth which is hard to shake. Add firm peppery feels and bitter dark chocolate and its hard to push on. I left it in the glass for over an hour before coming back and little changed. The warmth and spice still buzzing in my mouth sometime later. Shame after a good start.
