From a warm and dry vintage, the vines for this wine were planed in the 1970s. In traditional fashion, this Huntington red was released with a minimum four years bottle age.
Blackberries plus sweet blackcurrants. Those dark fruits cut loose and invite you to get knee deep. A couple of days of tasting presents a wine with longevity in its veins. All elements have softened demanding that you just want in. Tannins still a little firm, but Mudgee tannins need years to relax - just ask winemaker Tim Stevens who explains it beautifully. Top stuff.
