A blend of Cabernet, Shiraz and Merlot, there's a fair chunk of oak doing some grunt work. But ten years young, there's still some tension here which shows that it will hold some good form for another decade with ease.
Cedar and sandalwood aromas skip from the glass. Licorice, black olives and blackberries are hot on their tail with touches of tea tree. Blueberries stand tall and cigar box isn't far from the action either with some old leather characters too. Once the fruit goes through to the keeper, a fine pleasant coffee characteristic lingers -beautiful.
Redman make wines to go the distance and this is a peach. I suspect had it come from some other regions it would be significantly more expensive. Treat yourself.
