Sholto Wines Canberra District Riesling 2019

Jake Carter sent me this Riesling and his Syrah. I've never met Jake but I get a clear sense he is a winemaker keen to take a few risks for the love of texture and interest in his wines. Respect! This Riesling is a textural number which calls for summertime love.


Soaked on skins, barrel fermented and aged on lees makes this quite a unique take on Riesling.

Be greeted by pretty white florals and limes a plenty. Talc feels through the mouth showing great textural depth. There's still a crisp factor which you'd expect with a good Riesling too. Crisp acidity brings the mouth. A great little wine.
