From vines planted in 1910, this is Nick Haselgrove's premium Grenache.
An interesting wine, it sees French oak for 18 months. It's a mix of pleasure and serious concentration. Raspberries thread their way through and are never far away from the action. Earthiness, aniseed, smoked meats and char run deep. There's some mouth warm, too, which firms up and runs out with warming spices on its tail. Lovers of richer type Grenache wines will enjoy this.
