Savoury on opening with roasted capsicum, bay leaf and soft spices taking the lead. Dark berry fruit, red plums and black currant build some pleasing momentum. Dark chocolate and tobacco rise up late. It possesses a good tension that points to its ability to age. Tannins are fine and edging on powdery leaving a lengthy finish to pursue. Good stuff.
