This Shiraz gets a tick. I like what the team at Soul Growers are on about. They are literally bringing small growers together and sharing their fruit with the world.
Scents of satsuma plum, mulberry, licorice and a healthy kick of earthiness get things on the move. The fruit is deep and warming in the mouth. Perhaps a smidge too warm. There's a wholesome factor to it which is hard to ignore. Citrus like acidity sits a little tight but will soften. It was still much the same on day two of tasting. Dusty and raspy like tannins close the curtain.
This will be showing its true colours in a couple of years. Drink to 2025.
